Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in any course or service offered by Istari Language Center ("Istari"), students and/or their legal guardians agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
2. Enrollment and Payment
All course fees must be paid before the first scheduled lesson.
Istari currently accepts payment through:
Bank Transfer
QRIS
Enrollment is confirmed only after payment has been received and verified.
3. Class Duration
Class durations vary depending on the program:
Private General and Academic Courses: 60–75 minutes
Private Exam Preparation Courses: 75–90 minutes
Group General and Academic Courses: 75–90 minutes
Specific schedules and durations will be communicated upon enrollment.
4. Rescheduling Policy
Students may request to reschedule a lesson by notifying Istari at least three (3) hours before the scheduled class time.
Rescheduling requests submitted less than three (3) hours before the scheduled lesson may not be accepted, and the lesson may be considered used.
However, in cases involving emergencies or other reasonable circumstances, students may submit a rescheduling request for consideration. Approval will be granted at the discretion of Istari Language Center.
Students who fail to attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice will forfeit that lesson.
If a tutor is unable to attend a scheduled lesson, the class will be rescheduled at no additional cost to the student.
5. Internet and Technical Issues
All classes are conducted online through Zoom.
If a student's internet connection is interrupted during a lesson, Istari will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the lost time.
If the tutor's schedule permits, the lesson may be extended to compensate for the interruption.
If an extension is not possible, the student may request a reschedule for the remaining lesson time. In such cases, the current lesson will be paused and continued at a mutually agreed time.
6. Refund Policy
Refund requests may be submitted within seven (7) days of payment.
Students who have not attended any lessons may be eligible for a 70% refund of the amount paid. The remaining 30% will be retained as an administrative fee.
No refunds are available after the first lesson has been completed.
Istari Language Center reserves the right to review exceptional circumstances at its discretion.
7. Learning Materials
All learning materials provided by Istari remain the intellectual property of Istari Language Center unless otherwise stated.
Students may access and use provided materials for personal educational purposes only.
Students may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or share learning materials with individuals who are not enrolled in the course without prior written permission from Istari.
8. Class Recordings
Lessons may be recorded upon student request and with the consent of all participants involved.
Recordings are provided solely for educational purposes and may not be redistributed, published, or commercially used.
9. Student Conduct
Students are expected to maintain respectful and professional behavior during all lessons and interactions with tutors and staff.
Istari reserves the right to suspend or terminate services without refund in cases involving:
Harassment of tutors, staff, or other students
Threatening, abusive, or inappropriate behavior
Actions that significantly disrupt the learning environment
10. Transfer of Enrollment
Course enrollments, lesson credits, and purchased packages are non-transferable and may not be assigned to another individual.
11. Minors
Students under the age of 18 must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian before enrolling in any Istari program.
12. Limitation of Liability
Istari Language Center shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of its services, website, or learning materials.
While Istari strives to provide high-quality educational services, specific learning outcomes, examination results, or language proficiency improvements cannot be guaranteed.
13. Changes to These Terms
Istari reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on the official website.
